Krystina Gross has been at Washington University since 2000. Krystina started her career in the Sponsored Projects Accounting Department as a Control Specialist. In 2001 she was promoted to Manager of NIH awards.
As a Manager in SPA, Krystina oversees a staff of six whose responsibilities include: preparation of financial reports and invoices; expenditure approvals; accounts receivable; and payment processing. She is responsible for reviewing, approving and ensuring the timely submission of financial reports and invoices; overseeing the cash management for NIH awards; providing policy and procedure interpretation/guidance to WU departments, SPA staff and other Central WU departments; managing fiscal year end closing for SPA funds; assisting and coordinating the annual A-133 audit and other agency and/or internal audits; and working closely with the Office of Sponsored Research Services, other WU Central offices, and the Sponsors as necessary. Krystina specializes in NIH grants, but also manages the cost-reimbursable contracts that WU receives.
Krystina is a graduate of Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She has also completed her CPA certification.
