Sharon Matlock

Sharon Matlock served as the Department Administrator in the Computer Science and Engineering Department in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Sharon joined Washington University in 1984 as an Administrative Assistant, moved to Grant Administrator in 2006 and then as Department Administrator in 2009 all within the Computer Science Department.  She managed both pre and post-award activities with a diverse portfolio with sponsors such as the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense and various foundations.  Sharon was an active member of the Danforth Research Administrator’s Council and the National Council of University Research Administrators. Sharon received an MBA from Webster University and is a Certified Research Administrator. In her spare time Sharon enjoys reading and watching old movies.
