Elizabeth (Liz) Colletta has been at Washington University since 1993. In 1998 Liz started her career in the Sponsored Projects Accounting Department as a Profile Specialist. In 2000 she was promoted to Manager of the non-NIH awards.

As a Manager in SPA, Liz oversees a staff of four whose responsibilities include: preparation of financial reports, invoices and letters of credit; expenditure approvals; effort reporting; and Federal work study account set-up. She is responsible for reviewing, approving and ensuring the timely submission of financial reports; overseeing the cash management for non-NIH awards; providing policy and procedure interpretation/guidance to WU departments, SPA staff and other Central WU departments; managing fiscal year end closing for SPA funds; assisting and coordinating the annual A-133 audit and other agency and/or internal audits; and working closely with the Office of Sponsored Research Services, other WU Central offices, and the Sponsors as necessary. Liz oversees awards from federal agencies such as NSF, Dept. of Education, Dept. of Energy, NASA, USDA; non-profit agencies such as AHA, ADA, BJHF, CDI, etc..; and fixed price contracts from Industry or Federal sponsors.

Liz is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Accounting.
