RA Day

Research Administrator Appreciation Day (RAAD) Recap

Thank you to all who attended the Research Administration Appreciation Day! It was wonderful to see new and old team members all gathered together. We hope that you found it a day filled with networking, fun, educational opportunities and most of all, appreciation!

Research Administration Recognition Awards

We received a large pool of nominations for the various Recognition Awards, which is an example of how many wonderful Research Administrators we have here at the university. It was an exceptionally difficult selection process, given the quantity and quality of the nomination letters we received. As a connected network, when one of our colleagues is recognized for outstanding service and contributions, we all shine a little brighter.

Here are the recipients:

  • Distinguished Achievement Award: Rhonda Fortune (Pediatrics)
  • Distinguished Mentor Award: Glen Reitz (Biomedical Engineering)
  • Outstanding New Professional: Maggie Speck-Kern (Brown School)
  • Super-STAR Award: Amelia Keeley (Psychiatry)
  • Unsung Hero Award: Beth McClendon (Department of Medicine)

Congratulations to our RAAD T-Shirt Design Competition winner: Surgery

Thank you to all who sent in pictures from the day. Here are some of the highlights:

We would also like to extend our gratitude to all of the speakers, vendors and presenters, as well as the volunteers who signed up to help throughout the day. We appreciate you!

We hope that everyone enjoyed gathering with your colleagues to celebrate the accomplishments of our Research Administration community. Thank you all for being an integral part of the university’s research mission.
